Suspension Trauma : Report an incident

Step 1: What this is all about

The biggest difficulty in researching the true risks of suspension trauma is getting information about cases, either from the patient or from the people who treated them. It's very rare for details of an accident to be passed to the hospital and for them to be reported in the literature, and many people will suffer mild symptoms and not bother to tell anyone about it. We rely on information from the public to help build an accurate picture.

The information you submit will be collated into a database, which is made freely available to medical researchers and government Health and Safety departments on request. All entries in the database are anonymous and any personal information you enter on the report will be removed.

We ask for your email address for three reasons:-

  1. We will send you a copy of your report, so you can keep it for reference and email us if you notice any mistakes.
  2. Occasionally we may wish to ask you a question, if we can't understand something in the report.
  3. We try and keep the database as accurate as possible, so wish to filter out spam as much as possible. If the email address you enter doesn't work, or the owner of the mailbox denies submitting the form, we won't keep the report.

We will never pass your email address to anyone else, enter it onto the database or use it to send advertising.
